England, driven by Ben Mayes, is considered a strong contender.
The second semi-final will be held at Harare Sports Club on February 4, 2026, with India taking on Afghanistan. India secured their spot after defeating Pakistan, continuing their unbeaten streak under Ayush Mhatre. ICC official panel: Umpires and match referees confirmed
The ICC has appointed a skilled officiating team for these critical matches. In the Australia-England game, Zahid Bassarath and Virender Sharma will be the on-field umpires. Bassarath recently officiated England’s win over New Zealand, while Sharma has overseen Australia’s matches against Sri Lanka and Japan. Lubabalo Gcuma will serve as the Third Umpire, with Prageeth Rambukwella as the Fourth Umpire and Prakash Bhatt as the Match Referee.
