Afghanistan delivered an impressive performance against India in the second semi-final of the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup. They scored 310 runs for 4 wickets in their 50 overs, with Faisal Shinozada and Uzairullah Niazai both hitting centuries. The duo added 148 runs for the third wicket, with Faisal scoring 110 runs off 93 balls and Uzairullah finishing with an unbeaten 101 runs off 86 balls.
Earlier, Osman Sadat and Khalid Ahmadzai provided a solid start, creating a partnership of 53 runs in 12.2 overs. They effectively resisted the Indian bowlers, enabling other batters to thrive. Osman scored 39 runs off 70 balls, while Khalid made 31 runs off 39 balls.
For India, Deepesh Devendran and Kanishk Chouhan each took two wickets.
India remains undefeated in the tournament, having won against the USA, Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Zimbabwe, before their match against Pakistan.
