Before their Ranji Trophy 2025-26 quarterfinal match against Karnataka, Mumbai players received advice from Sachin Tendulkar on February 5 at the MCA-BKC facility. Tendulkar, a former captain of Mumbai, conducted an interactive session with the team, focusing on managing pressure, maintaining a winning mindset, and preparing for crucial matches.
Mumbai captain Shardul Thakur, who is returning from an injury, noted,
“We were lucky to have Sachin sir in the dressing room today. It was not just a pep talk; it was more of a Q&A session. All players and coaches asked him a range of questions about approach, preparation, a winning mindset, and managing pressure in tough situations.”
The session also featured India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, reinforcing the team’s strength ahead of the knockout phase. Tendulkar’s guidance was aimed at both experienced players and younger team members, emphasizing strategies that have historically helped Mumbai thrive under pressure.
