The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has declared a reward of INR 7.5 crore for Ayush Mhatre and his team after their victory in the 2026 ICC Under-19 World Cup in Zimbabwe. India won against England in the final held at Harare Sports Club on Friday, February 8.

This win is India’s sixth U19 World Cup title and their third since 2018. The team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, achieving significant victories over Afghanistan and England in the knockout rounds.

“A cash prize of Rs 7.5 crore will be awarded to the Indian team for winning the U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup in Zimbabwe and Namibia. We are finalizing the distribution of the prize among players, technical staff, and the selection committee, but Rs 7.5 crore is the total amount from the BCCI,” said Saikia, as reported by News18.
