Sahibzada Farhan (0), Saim Ayub (6), Salman Agha (4), and Babar Azam (5) struggled against India’s bowling attack. Usman Khan was the standout performer for Pakistan, scoring 44 runs from 34 balls with 6 fours and 1 six.
Shadab Khan (14) and Mohammad Nawaz (4) also failed to make significant contributions. Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets, while Hardik Pandya, Varun Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel also claimed 2 wickets each.
Earlier, Ishan Kishan played a pivotal role for India, scoring 77 runs off 40 balls, which included 10 fours and 3 sixes, helping India to a total of 175/7. Suryakumar Yadav (32), Shivam Dube (27), and Tilak Varma (25 off 24) supported well, but it was Kishan’s innings that stood out.
For Pakistan, Ayub took 3 wickets, while Salman, Shaheen Afridi, and Usman Tariq each took 1 wicket.
This win gives India an 8-1 lead over Pakistan in the history of the ICC T20 World Cup.
