Paras Dogra, a cricketer from Palampur, is currently captaining Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26. He has made history by becoming only the second player to score over 10,000 runs in the tournament’s 92-year existence, following Wasim Jaffer. This achievement occurred during the Ranji Trophy semi-final against Bengal on February 16 in Kalyani.
When J&K batted second, they faced early challenges at 13/2 when Dogra came in at No. 4. After Shubham Pundir got out shortly after, Dogra partnered with Abdul Samad to build a vital 50-run partnership that helped stabilize the innings. Dogra reached the significant milestone on his 11th run, marking this achievement in his 147th Ranji Trophy match. Jaffer is the only other player to surpass 10,000 runs and holds the record for the most runs in the tournament with 12,038 runs.
