Afghanistan played against Canada in Match 39 of the T20 World Cup 2026, marking their final group-stage match of the tournament. Ibrahim Zadran had a standout moment in the 19th over of Afghanistan’s innings.
Canada’s bowler Dilon Heyliger bowled a slower, fuller ball outside off-stump, trying to induce an error in the final overs. Zadran anticipated it well, dropped down on one knee, and used the face of his bat to send the ball over extra cover. He made solid contact, and the ball flew 75 meters into the stands.
This six highlighted the consistency Zadran displayed throughout his innings. He finished with an impressive score of 95 not out off 56 balls, which included seven fours and five sixes.
