On February 18, Jammu and Kashmir made history by reaching their first Ranji Trophy final. They defeated two-time champions Bengal by six wickets at the Bengal Cricket Academy Ground in Kalyani. Abdul Samad scored 82 runs and remained unbeaten with 30, while Vanshaj Sharma contributed an important 43 runs. Auqib Nabi dominated with the ball, finishing with impressive match figures of 9 wickets for 123 runs.

Nabi was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance. In Bengal’s first innings, he took five wickets and ended with figures of 5 for 87. The 29-year-old also scored 42 runs, enhancing his reputation as a potential future fast bowler for India.
