The unveiling ceremony featured well-known cricketers like Thisara Perera, Asghar Afghan, Rishi Dhawan, and Angelo Perera, adding significance to the event.
During the event, Thisara Perera shared his thoughts about the upcoming tournament.
“Last season was fantastic, and being part of such a competitive league was a great experience. I’m really excited for the new season. The quality of Cricket, player camaraderie, and the passion from fans make this league unique. We’re eager to perform even better this time,” he said.
Rishi Dhawan also spoke about the vital role of fan support and shared his confidence in the team.
“The fans have always supported us a lot, especially from India, and that energy really matters on the field. We hope to receive the same love and support this season. We’ll do our best to make them proud and aim for the trophy,” he said.
League director Neeraj Kukreja discussed his vision for the tournament, emphasizing its goal of bringing together experienced cricketers from across Asia.
“The Asian Legends League aims to unite renowned cricketers from all over Asia on one platform. The feedback from players and fans has been overwhelmingly positive. With the trophy’s unveiling, we are taking a significant leap forward and aim to uphold high standards of professionalism, competitiveness, and entertainment,” he said.

The league is set to take place in June 2026. However, teams from Gulf nations will not participate in the second season due to the ongoing war situation.
