Rajasthan Royals (RR) will face Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 9 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This will be the venue’s first match after it hosted the 2026 T20 World Cup final between India and New Zealand.
RR began their season with a strong eight-wicket win against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Guwahati. Fast bowlers Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger each took two wickets, helping to limit CSK to just 127 runs. Ravindra Jadeja also made an impact by claiming two wickets on his return.
In pursuit of 128 runs, the 2008 champions had a solid start, led by 15-year-old opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who scored 52 runs off just 17 balls, ensuring a smooth chase.
Given their successful start, RR is likely to keep their playing XI unchanged against GT. The team boasts a strong mix of aggressive openers, capable finishers, and a good balance between spin and seam bowlers.
Here is RR’s strongest predicted XI vs GT, Match 9, IPL 2026:
Top Order: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Riyan Parag (C)
