In the Kolkata Knight Riders match against the Lucknow Super Giants at Eden Gardens on April 9, Mukul Choudhary delivered an outstanding performance to secure a win for his team.

While chasing a target of 182 runs, Lucknow found themselves struggling at 128/7 after 16 overs. Choudhary, who had only faced six balls at that point, needed to step up as they required 54 runs in the last four overs.

Choudhary rose to the occasion, scoring an impressive 54 runs off just 27 balls, leading his team to victory. His innings included two fours and seven sixes.

Following his achievement, Star Sports shared a video on social media where Choudhary spoke about his admiration for MS Dhoni. He discussed the helicopter shot, famously used by the former India captain, and even executed this shot himself in the 17th over, clearing long-on effortlessly.

“I have always looked up to MS Dhoni, especially since I am a keeper. I grew up watching him, particularly his helicopter shot. The 2011 World Cup is always on my mind,” the 21-year-old said.

Choudhary expressed his desire to become a finisher like Dhoni, who he sees as his role model.

“He is my role model. I also want to finish games like him,” the Rajasthan batter commented.
