Rashid Khan has established himself as a key wicket-taker in T20 Cricket. His extensive experience comes from playing in various T20 leagues around the world. He has gained significant recognition in India due to his long-standing involvement with the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Rashid’s IPL journey started in 2017 when Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) acquired him for INR 4 crore. He made an impressive debut season, taking 17 wickets in 14 matches with an average of 21.05 and an economy rate of 6.62. This strong performance led to a salary increase of 125%, raising his earnings to INR 9 crore for the next season.
His success continued with SRH, where he took 21 wickets in 2018 at an economy of 6.73, 17 wickets in 2019 at 6.28, 20 wickets in 2020 at 5.37, and 18 wickets in his last season (2021) with an economy of 6.69.
After the 2021 season, Rashid was released from SRH. His earnings saw another boost when Gujarat Titans (GT) bought him for INR 15 crore ahead of the 2022 season.
