Sri Lanka women’s Cricket team has announced its squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on May 29. Chamari Athapaththu, who has played in every edition of the tournament, will captain the team.
Sri Lanka is in Group B, which includes Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, West Indies, and England. They will start their campaign against England, the host nation, on June 12 at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
One key player missing from the squad is Inoka Ranaweera, who has played 91 T20Is and taken 97 wickets with an average of 19.06 and an economy of 5.95. In her last series against Bangladesh in April 2026, she took three wickets in three matches. Rashmika Sewwandi and Dewmi Vihanga are also not included in the team.
