India Women claimed a strong 64-run win against Pakistan Women in Match No. 6 of the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup at Edgbaston, Birmingham, on June 14.
Batting first, India set a challenging total of 170/6 in their 20 overs. Smriti Mandhana was a standout performer with a solid half-century, and Richa Ghosh added quick runs with a 34 off just 17 balls. Pakistan’s bowlers Sadia Iqbal and Fatima Sana each took two wickets, preventing a higher score.
In response, Pakistan started their innings positively but struggled as India’s spin bowlers took control of the game. Muneeba Ali was the top scorer for Pakistan with 41 runs, but the rest of the team found it difficult to contribute significantly. India’s bowlers excelled in the second half, with Shree Charani taking 3 wickets for 21 runs. Deepti Sharma, the experienced all-rounder, was impressive with a five-wicket haul, breaking down Pakistan’s batting order.
