India Women vs Australia Women, First ODI: The Indian women’s cricket team is all set to kick off its final preparatory phase for the Women’s World Cup with a three-match ODI series against Australia.

The opening ODI of the series is scheduled to be played on Sunday, September 14, in Mullanpur (Punjab). The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will head into the series to avenge their 0-3 defeat that they endured in Australia last December.

Since that defeat, India have enjoyed an impressive run of form, beating Ireland 3-0 at home, winning a tri-series in Sri Lanka, involving South Africa, and beating England across formats.

Against Australia, India’s batting unit will be led by big names like Smriti Mandhana, Harleen Deol, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Jemimah Rodrigues.

In the bowling attack, India will heavily rely on seamers like Renuka Singh, Kranti Goud, and Arundhati Reddy. In the spin department, Sneh Rana, Deepti Sharma, and Radha Yadav will lead the attack.

For record seven-time world champions Australia, the series against India will be their first internationals since the Ashes in February.

The first two ODIs of the series will take place in Mullanpur, while the final contest will be played in New Delhi on September 20. The second ODI will take place on Wednesday, September 17.
