Sourav Ganguly is elected unopposed as Cricket Association of Bengal president, succeeding his elder brother Snehasish.

Sourav Ganguly has been elected as the new president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), marking his return to cricket administration after his stint as BCCI chief from 2019 to 2022.

The former India captain, who filed his nomination earlier on Sunday, was elected unopposed and will take over from his elder brother, Snehasish. It won’t be unfamiliar territory for him—Ganguly had earlier served as CAB president from 2015 to 2019 before stepping down to assume charge at the BCCI.
