Farhan hammered Jasprit Bumrah for a couple of sixes in his first three overs of the India-Pakistan match in Dubai.

Sahibzada Farhan is playing as an opening batter for Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 match against India in Dubai, and at the end of 8 overs, he was batting on 21 runs from 25 balls. The right-handed batter has hammered two sixes so far, and both of his sixes have come against Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling. He hammered his first six of the match against Bumrah on the third ball of the fourth over, and his second six came on the third ball of the sixth over.

Farhan is the first cricketer from Pakistan to hit a six against Bumrah in T20Is. In his previous four T20I matches for India against Pakistan, Bumrah didn’t concede a single six.

Bumrah last played a T20I match for India against Pakistan on June 9, 2024, in New York. In that T20 World Cup match, he bowled four overs and picked up 3 wickets for 14 runs. His super show with the ball helped the Rohit Sharma-led side successfully defend the total of 119 runs and secure a win by six runs.

Flop show by Saim, Salman

Pakistan cricket team and their fans had high expectations from Saim Ayub and Salman Ali Agha in the match against India but both of them failed to deliver. While Ayub got out for a golden duck on the first legitimate ball of the match bowled by Hardik Pandya, Salman could only manage to score 3 runs from 12 balls. The Pakistani captain was caught by Abhishek Sharma off Axar Patel’s bowling.

The wicket of Saim helped Pandya become only the second Indian bowler after Arshdeep Singh to take a wicket on the first legitimate ball of a T20I match. The left-handed batter was caught by Jasprit Bumrah.

Hardik returned the favour to Bumrah by completing Mohammad Haris’s catch off his bowling on the second ball of the second over of the match.
