Hardik Pandya picked his 97th T20I wicket during the Asia Cup 2025 Super Fours contest against Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday.
With the scalp, the all-rounder overtook Yuzvendra Chahal to second in the all-time T20I wicket-takers list for India, behind Arshdeep Singh.
The pacer picked up the wicket of Fakhar Zaman in his second over of the contest, forcing an outside edge with a change of pace delivery, which was scooped up by Sanju Samson behind the stumps.
The veteran left-hander had been promoted to open following three consecutive scores of nought from regular opener Sain Ayub.
