On February 6, just before the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup began, the International Cricket Council revealed a list of 40 commentators from various countries.
The tournament will feature a total of 55 matches held in India and Sri Lanka, and the council has named the experts who will provide commentary for these games.
This panel includes famous figures such as Ravi Shastri, Nasser Hussain, Ian Smith, and Ian Bishop. They will offer the “World Feed” coverage, showcasing a blend of former greats, World Cup winning players, and current stars.
Six commentators each have been chosen from South Africa, England, and India, while four are selected from Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Among these are the 2014 T20 World Cup Champion Angelo Mathews and 2025 ICC World Test Championship-winning captain Temba Bavuma, who will be making their commentary debut.

Broadcast technology and content coverage
For the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, ICC TV will utilize two new broadcast tools, developed in partnership with Quidich Innovation Labs and WTVision. Pitchview will create a virtual model of the pitch, linking performance data to tactical and scoring patterns.
Skillview will enhance live analysis by using virtual graphics to demonstrate execution and decision-making. Additional broadcast features will include Hawk-Eye technology for ball tracking, DRS services, and WTVision-managed graphics alongside CricViz data integration.
Quidich’s Field 360° will aid in analyzing field placements and tactics. ICC TV will also generate non-live content, including player features, team stories, match previews, and behind-the-scenes looks for global distribution.
