Australia’s bowler Nathan Ellis made an impressive play to get rid of Ross Adair in the Group B match between Australia and Ireland during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 on Wednesday, February 11.
Nathan Ellis delivers an effective slower ball
The key moment came in Ireland’s second over, right on the first ball, as Ellis threw a well-disguised slower delivery. Adair, trying to adjust and guide the ball to the on-side, was completely fooled by the reduced speed. The ball touched his pad before hitting the middle stump, leaving him out. Adair scored 12 runs off 9 balls, including one four and one six.
Ellis celebrated with joy as Australia took a strong early position in the match.
