In a surprising turn during the T20 World Cup, Zimbabwe won against Australia by 23 runs in their second match. Chasing a target of 170 runs, Australia fell short, scoring only 146 runs in 19.3 overs. The batting side struggled with the slow pitch, with Matt Renshaw being the only player to hit a fifty. Zimbabwe’s bowlers executed their game plan well and received strong support from fielders who took key catches.
Blessing Muzarabani led the attack with four wickets, while Brad Evans contributed by taking three wickets. Earlier, Brian Bennett scored 64 runs, and Tadiwanashe Marumani (35), Ryan Burl (35), and Sikandar Raza (25) helped set the total at 169 for 2.
Marcus Stoinis and Cameron Green picked up one wicket each for Australia.
