“We will bat today as the wicket looks good. There is nothing for the bowlers, so it is better to bat. It is essential to put the rivals under pressure and give our best,” said Harry Brook.
Italy captain Harry Manenti wanted to bowl first but accepted the result of the toss.
“We wanted to bowl anyway. It works out nicely for us. This is a significant game for us, and playing against England is always crucial. We felt confident before arriving for the World Cup, and the boys are looking forward to the match,” he stated.
