Former Cricket captains, including Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev, have called on the Pakistani government to provide urgent medical care to Imran Khan, the legendary all-rounder. This plea was made on February 17, following reports about a decline in Khan’s vision during his more than two-year detention.

Allan Border, Ian Chappell, Steve Waugh, John Wright, David Gower, Greg Chappell, Michael Brearley, Belinda Clark, Nasser Hussain, Kim Hughes, and Clive Lloyd have also expressed their support for Khan.

“As former captains of our respective national cricket teams, we are deeply concerned about the reported treatment and living conditions of Imran Khan, a noted former Captain of Pakistan and a prominent figure in world cricket,” the statement said.
