Pakistan’s captain, Salman Ali Agha, has won the toss and chosen to bat first against England in their second Super 8 match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
Toss Decision – Captain’s Comments & Reasoning
“We will bat first to set a strong target and defend it. You need to adapt to the conditions. Having played in Sri Lanka, we understand the local conditions,” said Salman Ali Agha.
England’s skipper, Harry Brook, indicated he would also have batted first.
“We would have chosen to bat first as well. It’s a fresh pitch, and we expect good play here for chasing in the second innings. We have plenty of data on Usman Tariq, but we’re also focusing on other bowlers,” he added.
