The National Selection Panel (NSP) has revealed the squads for Australia’s One-Day and T20 International Series against Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Australia will face Pakistan in three One-Day Internationals in Rawalpindi on May 30, and Lahore on June 2 and 4, before heading to Bangladesh for three ODI matches in Dhaka on June 9, 11, and 14, and three T20 Internationals in Chattogram on June 17, 19, and 21.

All matches will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and available on Kayo Sports and Foxtel.

Liam Scott from South Australia, named Sheffield Shield Player of the Year, and young Victorian batter Ollie Peake have been included in the Australian squad for the first time. Peake was part of the Australian Test team in Sri Lanka last year as a development player but did not play.

Joel Davies from the Sydney Sixers, who received the Andrew Symonds Award as the Most Valuable Player in the Big Bash League, is also included in the T20 squad for Bangladesh.

Fast bowlers Billy Stanlake and Riley Meredith are returning for the ODI series against Pakistan, with New South Wales spinner Tanveer Sangha joining both ODI squads. Meredith will also be part of the T20 series in Bangladesh.

Players Travis Head, Cooper Connolly, Ben Dwarshuis, and Xavier Bartlett, all currently in the Indian Premier League, will replace Peake, Stanlake, Meredith, and Matt Short for the ODIs in Bangladesh as preparations for the next ICC Men’s One-Day World Cup get underway.

Left-arm fast bowler Spencer Johnson is also returning for the T20 matches along with Aaron Hardie.

Chair of Selectors George Bailey commented: “It’s exciting to see new players get a chance to represent Australia. The mix of experienced and new players will be beneficial for these tours in the subcontinent.

“Providing opportunities for players to grow in diverse conditions is crucial, and we will focus on this over the next 18 months to two years.”
