Australia has named its 15-player squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Lucy Hamilton, a 20-year-old fast bowler, has made the team, taking the spot from Darcie Brown.
Hamilton, a left-arm seamer, has impressed selectors with her skill and ability to utilize the new ball effectively. She is also a capable lower-order batsman, bolstering her selection.
In contrast, Brown did not take any wickets in her three matches during Australia’s recent tour of the West Indies, which likely affected her chances for inclusion in the squad.
Sophie Molineux is the appointed captain, supported by Tahlia McGrath and Ashleigh Gardner as vice-captains throughout the tournament.
