Ollie Peake, who captained Australia at the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup this year, has received his first ODI call-up. He will join the senior team for a three-match ODI series in Pakistan later this month. Cricket Australia (CA) has also released the squads for the upcoming multi-format series against Bangladesh, which includes three ODIs and three T20Is.
ODI captain Pat Cummins, along with Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood, have been rested for both tours due to a busy schedule of Test matches over the next 15 months. All three are currently participating in the IPL. Mitchell Marsh, the T20I captain, will take over as the ODI leader for the series in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Cameron Green has been included in all three squads, even though his IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), is still in the running for the playoffs.
