Ireland has revealed their 15-member squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on May 20. The team includes several newcomers, such as Ava Canning, Christina Coulter Reilly, Alana Dalzell, Aimee Maguire, and Lara McBride.

Gaby Lewis will captain the team for the first time in a T20 World Cup after helping secure their place in the tournament. She was the top run scorer at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier, amassing 276 runs in seven matches.

The Irish batting lineup also includes Leah Paul, Amy Hunter, and Orla Prendergast. Former captain Laura Delany adds valuable experience, having led the team during the 2023 tournament. She is close to becoming the first Irish woman to take 100 T20I wickets. The bowling attack features Arlene Kelly, who was the second-highest wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup Global Qualifier, taking 13 wickets in seven innings.

Ireland is placed in Group 2 of the Women’s T20 World Cup, alongside England, Sri Lanka, Scotland, West Indies, and defending champions New Zealand. They will start their campaign against Scotland at Old Trafford, Manchester on June 13.

The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 begins on June 12, with the opening match between England and Sri Lanka.
