The Centre of Excellence has confirmed Rohit Sharma‘s fitness ahead of the upcoming One-Day International (ODI) series against Afghanistan. Rohit suffered a hamstring injury during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, but has now successfully proven his fitness at the CoE in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya, who was also recovering from a back spasm sustained during the IPL while leading the Mumbai Indians, received his fitness clearance from the CoE shortly after Rohit. Both players will join the Indian squad soon, with the first ODI of the three-match series scheduled for Saturday, June 13.
