Pakistan’s experienced allrounder Nida Dar has made herself available for selection after a break from Cricket lasting over a year. At 39, Dar took an indefinite leave in April last year to focus on her mental health.

She explained that various personal and professional issues were impacting her mental well-being, prompting her decision to step away from the sport.

“After taking time to focus on myself and regain my strength, I am happy to share that I am back and available for the Pakistan Cricket Team once again,” Dar posted on X on Thursday. “I am ready to give my best, work hard, and contribute whenever the team needs me. Thank you to everyone who supported me during this journey.”

Although Dar is eager to represent her country again, her path back may be challenging as selectors have likely moved on from her even before she announced her break.
