Smriti Mandhana on Wednesday hit a hundred in 77 balls during the second ODI against Australia in New Chandigarh, to record the second-fastest hundred by an Indian woman.
The southpaw holds the record for the fastest century by an Indian batter too, which she got against Ireland in 70 deliveries.
Mandhana’s ton is also the fastest against Australia, with the previous best belonging to Nat Sciver (79 balls).
