Australia’s T20I captain, Mitchell Marsh, chose not to comment on Pakistan’s decision to boycott their match against India in the T20 World Cup 2026. During a recent tour to Pakistan for a three-match T20I series, Marsh was asked about this issue after the third match on February 1. He declined to discuss it, urging focus on his team’s preparations.
Pakistan recently achieved a notable feat by whitewashing Australia 3-0 at home. Following this series, Marsh addressed the media and stated,
“Yeah, I don’t have a comment on that. At this point in time, we are going to the World Cup. So just focus on what we are doing in it and all of that stuff will take care of itself.”
The Pakistani journalist continued the inquiry, asking Marsh for his thoughts on Bangladesh’s participation in the World Cup. Marsh reiterated his focus, saying,
“Yeah, I think the same goes for my previous answer. We are going to the World Cup to try to win it. We are solely focused on that. As the Australian team, we trust the people that are in a place to keep us safe. That’s all I say.”
