Kent has signed left-arm spinner Jake Lintott on loan from Warwickshire until the end of the 2026 Blast season. Lintott’s contract with the club is effective until July 19.
Lintott will leave Warwickshire after the 2026 season, having joined in 2020. His last match for Warwickshire was during the 2025 Blast against Somerset in September. He has taken 90 wickets in 78 Blast matches, with an economy rate of 7.96. His best performance was 4 for 20 in a win over Northamptonshire in 2021. He has also played for Hampshire and Gloucestershire in the 2017 and 2018 Blast, respectively.
At 33, Lintott’s career took off later than most. He left a teaching job to try out for Warwickshire in 2020 and received a full-time contract in 2021. He took 21 wickets in the 2021 Blast, which led to a wildcard selection for the Men’s Hundred with Southern Brave, where he was the leading wicket-taker with 11 wickets in nine matches, helping the team win the championship.
Lintott made his List A debut in 2022 for the England Lions in a 50-over match against South Africa. He has since taken 48 wickets in 32 List A games, with best figures of 5 for 37. Additionally, he has participated in various International franchise leagues, including the Caribbean Premier League, Bangladesh Premier League, and Abu Dhabi T10.
“We’re delighted to welcome Jake into the group for the next block of first-team fixtures. He provides us with an extra dimension to our bowling attack in all formats and will enhance our spin options for tactical flexibility,” said Simon Cook, Kent Director of Cricket.
Kent begins their 2026 Blast season against Middlesex at Lord’s on May 22. Lintott will also be available for Kent’s County Championship Division Two matches against Durham (starting May 15), Lancashire (June 12), and Middlesex (June 19).
