The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the Indian squads for the upcoming multi-format series against Afghanistan, set to take place at home. Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya are included in the One-Day International squad, but their participation will depend on fitness assessments from the Centre of Excellence (CoE).

KL Rahul has been appointed as the vice-captain of the Test team, while Rishabh Pant will now serve as the specialist wicketkeeper. Harsh Dubey (Vidarbha) and Gurnoor Brar (Punjab) have received their first call-ups to the Indian team and will participate in the series. Manav Suthar has also been added to the Test squad.
