English all-rounder Liam Livingstone has been appointed captain of the London Spirit for the 2026 Men’s Hundred competition, starting in July.
Livingstone is a well-known player in the global T20 scene and has been a key part of the Hundred since it began. After five years with the Birmingham Phoenix, where he served as captain in 2025, he joins the Spirit along with new teammates Jamie Overton, Dewald Brevis, and Adam Zampa.
He ranks as the sixth-highest run-scorer in the tournament, having amassed 996 runs in just 36 innings, at a strike rate of 148.87. He has six half-centuries, with a highest score of 92*. Livingstone holds the record for the most sixes in the competition, with 71, and was named Most Valuable Player in the tournament’s first edition in 2021, scoring 348 runs at an impressive strike rate of 178.46, leading the Phoenix to the final.
“I am really looking forward to leading London Spirit out at Lord’s this summer. It’s an iconic ground and with the largest crowds in the country, the atmosphere will be special for every match. There is so much talent in the squad, and I want us to make some history this summer. I can’t wait to get started,” Livingstone said.

Signing him to London Spirit was a priority for us because of his importance to our plans at Lord’s this summer. His drive to improve and succeed is vital for our goals at London Spirit,” said Andy Flower, Head Coach.
