The Pakistan women’s Cricket team is set to visit Sri Lanka in July-August for a white-ball series at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.

The series will kick off with a three-match ODI set for July 23, July 25, and July 28, forming part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29. Currently, Pakistan is second on the Championship table with eight points, having secured four wins out of six matches.

Their net run rate is at 1.928, showcasing strong performances in their victories.

New Zealand leads the table with 13 points from nine matches, having recorded six wins and two losses, along with one no result. Their net run rate stands at 1.776, just below Pakistan’s.

After the ODI matches, the series will conclude with three T20Is on July 31, August 2, and August 4. This series is an opportunity for Pakistan to strengthen their position in the ICC Women’s Championship and test their T20 squad against a competitive Sri Lankan team.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka Gear Up for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026

The Sri Lankan women’s team has started its T20 World Cup preparation on a high note, winning both of their warm-up matches. They defeated Pakistan by nine wickets and clinched a seven-wicket victory over the Netherlands.

On the other hand, Pakistan has lost both of their warm-up games, including a 41-run loss against Scotland (DLS). Both teams have different paths in the tournament and need to excel to reach the semifinals.
