Surrey wicketkeeper-batter Kira Chathli will lead England A in both the T20 and 50-over series against India, starting later this month.

The squads include three players who have been capped by the senior team: Jodi Grewcock, Ryana MacDonald-Gay, and Charis Pavely. Also in the team are several promising players like Grace Scrivens, Sophia Smale, and young batter Davina Perrin. Jon Lewis, the batting coach of the senior women’s team, will manage the squad.

“The India series will test this talented group of players. Being selected for an A side means you’re making progress, but the next step is to score runs or take wickets consistently in domestic Cricket to aim for senior selection,” Lewis stated.

“A series against another country is always beneficial, and I’m sure we’ll gain valuable insights. I’m happy for Kira and know she will enjoy leading the team,” he added.

The series begins with the T20 matches on June 20 in Northampton, followed by two more games on June 23 and 25 in Northampton and Chelmsford, respectively. The 50-over series starts on June 28 at Hove, with the final two games scheduled for July 1 and 4 in Taunton.
