The tenth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup has started, featuring 12 teams competing for the title. To win, teams need strong performances both on and off the field.

12. Babette De Leede
Babette De Leede is leading the Netherlands in their first T20 World Cup. In their opening match, they narrowly lost to Bangladesh by six wickets. So far, De Leede has captained 45 T20Is, winning 30, which gives her a win percentage of 66.66%.
11. Gaby Lewis
Gaby Lewis became captain of Ireland in 2024 and is leading them for the first time in the T20 World Cup. However, her journey got off to a rough start with a 40-run loss to Scotland in the opening match. In T20Is, she has secured 20 wins out of 29 matches, holding a win percentage of 68.96%.
10. Kathryn Bryce
Kathryn Bryce is captaining Scotland for their second T20 World Cup. She has already led the team to their first victory in this edition against Ireland, where she was named Player of the Match. Overall, she has captained Scotland in five matches with one win, resulting in a win percentage of 20%.
9. Nigar Sultana
Nigar Sultana took over as captain of Bangladesh in 2021 and is now leading them for the third time in the T20 World Cup. Bangladesh has started well, winning their opening match against the Netherlands by six wickets. Under her captaincy, Sultana has led the team in nine World Cup matches and has two wins, giving her a win percentage of 22.22%.
8. Fatima Sana

7. Chamari Athapaththu

1. Harmanpreet Kaur
Harmanpreet Kaur made history by leading India to their first ICC title in the ODI World Cup. She now aims to win the T20 title as captain for the fifth time. Kaur led the team to the finals in 2020, although they lost to Australia. India’s campaign started well, winning against Pakistan by 64 runs. Under her leadership, Kaur has captained in 20 World Cup matches, achieving 14 wins for a win percentage of 70%.
