The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released a 15-member squad for the upcoming one-off Test against Afghanistan. This match is set to start on June 6 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.
Among the highlights, Gurnoor Brar, Harsh Dubey, and Manav Suthar will make their debut in the Test squad. Additionally, KL Rahul returns as the vice-captain after stepping down from the role in February 2023.
India’s squad for the one-off Test against Afghanistan includes: Shubman Gill (Captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul (Vice-Captain), Sai Sudharsan, Devdutt Padikkal, Gurnoor Brar, Kuldeep Yadav, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel, Manav Suthar, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Harsh Dubey, and Washington Sundar.
