Bangladesh is set to visit Zimbabwe for a multi-format series, featuring one Test, three ODIs, and three T20Is, starting on June 28. The tour will kick off with a single Test match in Harare, followed by the ODI series from July 6 to 11 at the same venue.
After the ODIs, the T20Is will take place in Bulawayo from July 15 to 19. The two teams have faced each other in 20 Tests, with their last series in 2025 ending in a 1-1 draw. Bangladesh has a slight edge, leading 9-8 in Test matches.
In their last visit to Zimbabwe in July-August 2022, the hosts claimed both the T20I and ODI series 2-1 in Harare. This upcoming series will be Zimbabwe’s first home series of the year and their first International action since the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka in February-March.
During that tournament, Zimbabwe made headlines by reaching the Super Eight stage for the first time, achieving wins against Australia and Sri Lanka.
Zimbabwe Cricket‘s managing director, Givemore Makoni, expressed his enthusiasm for the series, emphasizing the importance of competitive cricket between the two teams.
“We are thrilled to announce Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe, which we anticipate will be an exciting series across all formats. This tour is significant for us as it marks the return of high-level international cricket to our home grounds after our team’s impressive performances at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year,” Makoni stated.
“Our supporters can take pride in what we’ve accomplished lately, and we look forward to seeing fans support the team in Harare and Bulawayo,” he added.
